In the National Latte Art Championships, competitors will produce a series of free pour and designer lattes and macchiatos. The Championship consists of a Preliminary Round, Semi-Finals (including an Art Bar and a Stage Presentation), and Finals.

The winner will go on to represent Canada at the World Latte Art Championships, June 26-28th in Geneva, Switzerland.

In the Cup Tasters competition, three cups are placed in a triangle. Two cups are identical coffees and one is different. The competitor must use their sense of smell and taste, as well as attention and experience, to identify the odd cup as quickly as they can. There are eight triangles in each round.

The winner will proceed to represent Canada at the World Cup Tasters Championship, June 26-28th, 2025 in Geneva, Switzerland.

In the National Brewers Cup, participants will compete in compulsory and open service rounds, leading to a final round of 3 or 6 finalists (depending on schedules and number of competitors registered).

The winner will proceed to represent Canada at the World Brewers Cup Championship, May 15-17, 2025 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

This year, the Canadian Barista Championship qualifying rounds and finals will take place across a single weekend in Montreal, Quebec! Hosted by Origine 117, Cafe Saint-Henri, and Apex Coffee Imports, 32 baristas will compete for the title of Canadian Barista Champion and the chance to represent Canada at the World Barista Championship in Busan, Korea, May 1-4th, 2024.

The Final round of the Canadian National Barista Championships will be hosted by Eight Ounce Coffee at their HQ in Calgary, Alberta, May 20th-21st! The top six qualifiers from Q1 and Q2 will compete for the title of Canadian Barista Champion and the chance to represent Canada at the World Barista Championship in Athens, Greece.

It’s back! The Canadian National Brewers Cup will be held at Eight Ounce Coffee in Calgary, Alberta from May 4th to 8th, 2023! Participants will compete in compulsory and open service rounds, leading to a final round of 3 or 6 finalists (depending on schedules and number of competitors registered).

The event will follow the 2022 World Brewers Cup Rules and Regulations for judging criteria, definitions, and competition procedures.
