The Canadian Chapter of the Specialty Coffee Association is extremely excited to resume organizing coffee competitions as sanctioned by World Coffee Events.

This year, the National Barista Championships will be held at School House Roasting in Calgary, Alberta. The winner will proceed to represent Canada at the World Barista Championship, October 23rd-25th Panama City.

We will be using the 2025 World Barista Championship Rules and Regulations. Please review them here.

To be eligible to compete in the Barista Championships, the competitor must have lived for full 24 months in Canada by the date of WBC 2026. World Coffee Events holds the final decision pertaining to the eligibility of a Champion. Please read the Rules and Regulations carefully for WBC to ensure that for any other reasons, you may not be eligible to compete at Worlds.

Registration is by invite only, following the randomized selection of names signed up via Google Form. Sign-ups open Friday, April 3rd at 5pm PT / 8m ET and close Sunday, April 5th at 5pm PT / 8pm ET. Those selected will be sent a unique access code to complete registration with the $300 competitor fee applied.

• Tickets are NON-TRANSFERRABLE. You MAY NOT register for anyone other than the person indicated in the sign-up form.

• We cannot guarantee refunds on tickets... UNLESS we are able to register the next competitor on the waitlist. Otherwise, tickets are non-refundable.
