The Canadian Chapter of the Specialty Coffee Association is extremely excited to resume organizing coffee competitions as sanctioned by World Coffee Events.

This year, the National Cup Tasters Competition will be hosted by Swiss Water Decaffeinated Coffee Inc. in Delta, BC. The winner will proceed to represent Canada at the World Cup Tasters Championship, April 12-14th in Chicago, IL.

In the Cup Tasters competition, three cups are placed in a triangle. Two cups are identical coffees and one is different. The competitor must use their sense of smell and taste, as well as attention and experience, to identify the odd cup as quickly as they can. There are eight triangles in each round.

To be eligible to compete in the Cup Tasters Championships, the competitor must have lived for full 24 months in Canada by the date of WCTC 2024. World Coffee Events holds the final decision pertaining to the eligibility of a Champion. Please read the Rules and Regulations carefully for WCTC to ensure that for any other reasons, you may not be eligible to compete at Worlds.
