Join the team that makes Canadian coffee competitions possible!
Even if you’re not keen to compete yourself, this is a great way to get in on the action and set Canada up to perform on the global coffee stage. Under the direction of the Competition Coordinator, you’ll help with the planning and execution of competition events throughout the season.

 

CURRENT POSITIONS :

Event Lead

SCA Canada is looking for two Event Leads who will be able to support the Competition Coordinator in planning and executing the competition that is potentially happening in April/May and August of 2022. You will be working closely with the other SCA team members and will be managing a team of volunteers. This is a great way to be involved with the competitions right at the heart of the action!

The responsibilities can include:

  • Pre-Competition

    • Planning event w/ Competition Coordinator 

    • Coordinate with various vendors & volunteers

    • Creating & Executing the SOP’s on various aspect of the competition

    • On-site set-up 

  • During Competition

    • Stage Management

    • Volunteer Coordination

    • Point person for event inquiries 

  • Post-Competition

    • On-site teardown 

    • Packing & shipping of supplies

Ideally, we are looking for Event Leads who live close to the potential host city but we are open to anyone applying! Flights and accommodations will be provided for the Event Lead.

Fundraising Lead

SCA Canada is looking for a Fundraising Lead to strategize on ways to initiate new fundraising activities for the chapter. In this role you are instrumental in planning out new initiatives that will help SCA Canada to execute on it’s various planned activities. We are looking for a person who has a go-getter attitude with boundless imagination, who is well-organized and has great communication skills. You will be working under the direction of the Competition Coordinator but will work closely with the Communication and Marketing Coordinators.

The responsibilities can include:

  • Developing fundraising events

  • Researching potential sponsors

  • Proposal & grant writing

  • Organizing campaigns that will lead to donations
